Rainbow Lightcasters
Rainbow Lightcasters were invented by Richard
Elvis in 1978.  The first time he offered them to the
public was on the corner of Haight and Ashbury at
the Haight Street Fair, in San Francisco CA.  Since
that time Richard has developed the Lightcaster to
the point it is today, a stunning combination of
silvered glass, iridized stained glass and Swarovski
leaded crystals.  It also has a secondary design on
the back that shows through when the piece is
backlit. With the addition of the fifth ingredient,
direct sunlight, the Rainbow Lightcasters reflect a
beautiful bright image surrounded by a multi colored
halo and rainbows.  Richard has also shown his
larger work at fine galleries including the Rachael
Collection in Aspen CO, Elaine Horowitch in Santa
Fe NM, and Gallery Alexander in La Jolla CA.  He
designed and created seven massive cathedral style
windows for the back bar at El Pinto, Albuquerque's
largest restaurant.  At the request of Dale Terbush,
the renowned artist and interior decorator he made
three large wall mirrors for Garduno's of Santa Fe.
Richard crafts his Lightcasters with the same
meticulous attention to detail that he brings to his
larger work.
